The library system has 15 branches in the City of Albuquerque and 3 in Bernalillo County. Our libraries are visited by more than 2 million people each year.

We promote literacy.

More than 73,600 children from birth through high school participated in children’s activities in 2017, including the annual Summer Reading Program and Every Child Ready to Read®.

We bridge the digital divide.

Our libraries provide computer and internet access to visitors so they can participate in the information economy. In 2017, the libraries provided 360,000 hours of computer access in 698,000 individual sessions.

We promote economic advancement.

  • BrainFuse JobNow provides live interview coaching and a Resume Lab.
  • Library collections supplement this with print resources.
  • Small business resources help entrepreneurs with business plans, financing and more.

We support education and self-directed learning.

  • BrainFuse HelpNow provides live, online tutors to elementary through college students. Such one on one help is invaluable.
  • Career and college preparation are supported with print and online resources, including practice tests for the GED, SAT and ACT exams.
  • Other educational programs include book clubs, writing workshops and instruction on using digital devices.
